Our 2017 Tiny Desk Contest Video!

We did a hostile takeover of Program Director Mike McCurdy’s office at WGLT and are now able to bring you this message. Our NPR Tiny Desk Concert Contest entry! When we learned NPR would be hosting their Tiny Desk Contest for the third year, this song was barely a chorus. We knew we had to finish to, refine it and record it for this year’s contest. And we did! Check it out – propagate! Go!

THE DESK: Hostile takeover of WGLT Program Director, Mike McCurdy’s office.

THE SONG:
If you wanna burn this house down, I gotta let you know
It aint gonna be easy the way the wind’s been blowin’
If you wanna burn this house down, you best have a plan
I can stand in this inferno, I’m not sure if you can

Stoke the fire ’til the flames burn higher
And everything smolders to ash
But don’t come crawling back when there’s nothing left

If you think you’ve got an army, better look around
You’re only King of Idiocracy, and you proudly wear the crown
If you think you’ve got an army, what are they fighting for?
I pledge allegiance to hypocrisy, there’s no justice in war

Stoke the fire ’til the flames burn higher
And everything smolders to ash
But don’t come crawling back when there’s nothing left

I’ve got the match now
Don’t turn your back now
I’ve got the match now
Don’t turn your back
I’ve got the match
The tables are turning ’round
I’m not the only one here
With something to lose my dear, no

If you wanna burn this house down, I’m sure you understand
No way you’ll get away with it, no, devil be damned

Stoke the fire ’til the flames burn higher
And everything smolders to ash
But don’t come crawling back when there’s nothing left

Stoke the fire ’til the flames burn higher
And everything smolders to ash
But don’t come crawling back when there’s nothing left
